Metal is my favourite material — in it I recognise strength, protection and instrument. Its firmness becomes, through my work, organic, moving and almost alive.
For me, sculpture begins in space. Only when it takes its place does it truly become a work. Through metal, construction, repetition of elements and rhythm of form, I explore the relationship between the material and the immaterial. I'm interested in the moment when a solid material begins to feel alive.
